BUDDY PROJECT EVENT HELD AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA
In the bid to combat the drug menace ‘Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign You &I for drug free Punjab’ was organized at DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana on 3rd September, 2019. 60 buddies participated to put up a healthy effort through their inspiring performances to nip the evil of drug abuse in the bud. The function was presided over by Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar. She was delighted to see the young hearts leaving no stone unturned to sensitize their counterparts about deadly impact of drug demon. The students along with their teachers pledged to wipe out the hazard of drugs to secure a healthy future for the coming generations. Pr. Dr. Bhullar ensured to uphold the torch of positivity and work on grassroot level to generate healthy environment in and around the school.
To promote the noble thought students prepared different acts to make the occasion more meaningful. The musical melodies sung by the school choir enthralled the audience. The awesome play on substance abuse stole the show. The students presented their thoughtful opinions on the topic ‘ Drugs’. The foot tapping solo and group dance performances filled the audience with vigour and enthusiasm. All the acts were highly appreciated by the audience and guest alike.
Mrs Esha Sharma,Counsellor DAV Pakhowal, in her address shared that Buddy project is one of the strategies to involve the youth effectively in the prevention of drug – abuse campaign. She stressed that everyone needs to make a joint effort to direct the youngsters out of this wrecking habit. She said that it’s our prime duty to be the savior of drug free society for better tomorrow.
Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar acknowledged and congratulated buddies for the successful event. She stated that teens are more vulnerable to the use of these intoxicants. She ensured that the school will remain proactive in countering the problem with positive peer pressure to help the affected individual to come out of this life threatening habit. She motivated all to shoulder the responsibility together to increase the success rate.

Very good initiative taken by our honourable principle mam, the fight against drug campaign…the school has never failed to initaite such programmes for the awareness among students which ultimatelyy leads to their mental prosperity. My son samarpreet also shares about the events and other co curricular activities besides his study.
