Annual Athletic Meet at DAV Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana

he Annual Athletic Meet for KG wing was inaugurated with great pomp and show at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana on 14th February 2020. The occasion turned out to be a RED LETTER DAY in the history of the school. The day kick started with great excitement and enthusiasm. The thrill was at its full swing. The school staff and students extended a heartfelt welcome to the Chief Guest of the occasion Hon’ble Teja Singh Dhaliwal Ji, General Secretary, Punjab Basketball Association, Senior Vice President, Basketball Federation of India for his great support and benign presence. The grandparents and parents of the students were present to encourage their wards. The atmosphere was turned exuberant with echoes cheer and applause. The academic supervisor, Mrs Jaideep Kaur extended a cordial welcome to the gathering. She shared that the event is an attempt to develop strength and stamina of the students. Such activities help students to be aware of the importance of physical fitness and mental alertness. Also the activities would help to inculcate the values of cooperation and fair play among the students. She encouraged the students to make the best use of the opportunity and perform beyond the bars of winning or losing. The event had an auspicious beginning with Mantra Ucharan Ceremony followed by a House wise March Past. The bucket race, garland race,umbrella race, sack race, lemon race, zig- zag race, hurdle race, hula hoop race, water coin race and crown race gave an enthralling experience to all. The achievers were awarded for their outstanding performance with mementoes of appreciation.

The Principal Dr.Satwant Kaur Bhullar conveyed her best wishes to all the participants. The academic supervisor, Mrs Sangeeta Mahindroo stated that role of sports is indispensible in the life of a person. She urged the students to maintain balance in studies and sports. Blessing Havan at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized a customary ‘Blessing Havan’ for the students of Class VIII, X and XII who are going to appear for their Final Board Examination-2020. The students and teachers prayed wholeheartedly to seek the blessings of Almighty before the mentioned endeavor. The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar conveyed her ceremonial blessings and good luck for a bright future to the students on this momentous occasion.

Mrs Jaideep Kaur, Academic Supervisor shared valuable tips for taking the exams. She encouraged the students to prepare well and be confident. She extended her best wishes to the students and advised them to appear fairly in the exams.

Mr.Gopal Das Thakur, Academic Supervisor informed the students about the time management during exam. He advised the students not to panic and stress themselves during exams. They must believe themselves and refrain from distractions while preparing for exams. He unwrapped the secret of success and guided the students to revise the concepts thoroughly. Mock Drill on Disaster Management held at DAV Pakhowal, Ludhiana

Awareness cum mock drill on Disaster management was conducted at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana in collaboration with Ludhiana fire station. Mock drill was held under the supervision of respected Mr. Maninder Singh, Fire Station Officer, ludhiana where students received first hand experience in handling the fire equipments. He acquainted them with various forms fire disasters and how to tackle them in an effective manner. The students showed their keen interest in devising new remedial measures. Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar conveyed such programmes help in setting the young minds in the direction of protecting nature to create a safe world for generations ahead.

Mrs. Jaideep Kaur (Academic Supervisor) appreciated the ludhiana Fire station team, students and staff for making this ISA activity a success. She shared that such sessions prove to be effective in safe guarding everyone at the time of emergencies and other dangerous situations.

Career Counselling Session by IIFT at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana in association with IIFT Ludhiana organised career counselling session in the field of fashion designing for Classes X and XI on 04-02-2020. Around 250 students got benefitted from the elite knowledge of the resource person Ms. Geeta Nagrath, Director IIFT Ludhiana.The IIFT Experts interacted with the students to guide them how to sculpt their creative dreams on a fabric. The experts discussed numerous innovative ways to present their creativity worldwide.

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana concluded its Annual Athletic Meet -2020 for classes III and IV on February 1, 2020.The day kick started with great excitement and enthusiasm. The thrill was at its full swing.

Principal Dr Satwant Kaur Bhullar conveyed her elation on the success of the event .She shared that such events give latitude to sports and physical fitness amongst youth. She blessed and appreciated the young athletes for their glittering achievements.

The event had an auspicious beginning with Mantra Ucharan Ceremony followed by energetic performances by students. The simple race, obstacle race, Spoon race, partner with mat race, Ring race, Relay race gave an enthralling experience to all. DAV PAKHOWAL ROAD ORGANIZED PRESENTATION ON WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND SOCIAL AWAKENING

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organised Class V presentation on Women Empowerment and Social Awakening on 30th January,2020. The event was inaugurated by the school Academic Supervisors. Around 350 students of Class V participated in the event and made it colourful with their vibrant performances. The event had a pious beginning with the traditional Lamp Lightning Ceremony followed by recitation of Ved Mantras and DAV Anthem. Mrs. Jaideep Kaur, Academic Supervisor accorded a formal welcome to the grandparents and parents of the students. In her address she shared that the event was a small effort to polish the talent and presentation skills of the blooming buds. She also thanked the parents for their cooperation and support to the school.

The cultural event began with sacred bhajan performed by the little devotees. The mesmerizing theme based dance performances on women empowerment convinced the audience to the core. The musical performances by students singing songs on ‘Chalo pani bachate hai; Tu naari hai tu shakti hai; Swatchta ki jyot jagi rahi and so on enthralled the spectators with their melodious notes. The eye opener skit on Generation gap and the thematic Mime made the gathering nostalgic. The presentations of all the students were par excellence.

Mrs Tejinder Kaur , the academic supervisor proposed vote of thanks to all present for sparing their valuable time to boost the morale of the school and the students. The whole programme came to a splendid end with National Anthem.

Basant Panchami Celebrations at DAV Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana

D.A.V Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana bathed into the excitement and enjoyment of Basant Panchami celebrations on its campus .The day began with a golden spirit to spread happiness and welcome spring. The entire school was beautifully decorated with yellow balloons, kites, flowers and festoons.

The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar shared that the moment was truly exotic. The whole ambience was extremely resplendent. Blossoming of spring is a huge relief from a tiring span of winters. It is a heavenly experience to watch bright and beautiful colours to emerge and prosper. Indeed spring is a boon for humanity. The Spring Festival or Basant Panchami teaches us the importance of hope and optimism in life. Also it is observed as the day of birth of Goddess Saraswati and

Goddess Lakshmi. Dr. Bhullar also extended her heartfelt good wishes to all present on the occasion. The school staff and students performed an auspicious puja of Goddess Saraswati, deity of speech and knowledge. The students of Kindergarten wing came dressed up in yellow attire. were taken out for a nature walk to enjoy the variety of beautiful flowers. They were also informed about the significance of Basant Panchami. The students also savoured and relished sweetened yellow rice.

Republic Day Celebrations at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

On the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized a grand celebrations on its campus on 25-01-2020.The young patriots from the Kindergarten wing took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The entire campus was brilliantly decorated with tri colour festoons. Blooming buds wore tri colour caps, carried National flags and came dressed up as various freedom fighters and political leaders. On this occasion, the students recited patriotic rhymes and songs and resounded with slogans like “Jai Hind” and “Mera Bharat Mahan”. They echoed the school with patriotic fervour . The students did their level best to spread the message of love and peace. Teachers also made the students aware about the various National Symbols. Many engaging and creative activities were organized for the students .

In her addressal she made the students aware about the significance and importance the day. She highlighted the importance of education and the role of teachers in inculcating good values in life, which will help them to become world class citizens. TRIBUTE TO Shaheed LALA LAJPAT RAI BY DAV PAKHOWAL ROAD

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana commemorated the 155th Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Lala Lajpat Rai on its campus on 24/1/2020. On this sacred occasion the school Arya Yuva Samaj Unit organized a sacred ‘Panch Kundiya Havan’ . The teachers along with the students participated in the auspicious Yajana and paid tribute to their noble mentor. The entire ambience was infused with patriotic fervour. To celebrate the pious occasion several activities including slogan writing , quiz competition, poem recitation and motivational speeches by students and teachers respectively were organised. The school choir paid their tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai through their melodious Vedic Mantras and Bhajans which transported the gathering to the world of serenity.

The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar conveyed her elation on being a part of this glorious celebration. She said that stalwart Shaheed Lala Lajpat Rai was a highly intelligent and rational personality who was a way ahead of his times. She shared that his entire life is exemplary for all. She motivated the young Aryas to follow his foot trails to lead a virtuous life.

Ms. Babita Saharan and Ms. Kiran Jain from Hindi faculty acquainted everyone with the indispensable role of Lala Lajpat Rai in initiating reforms in the society. The motivational video on the life of Lala Lajpat Rai was highly appreciated by the staff and students alike. The students religiously participated in every act and pledged to do selfless service to humanity in order to create an undefiled world for all. It was an enriching experience that left behind sweet and cherishable memories.
