HINDI DECLAMATION COMPETITION AT D.A.V. PUBLIC SCHOOL LUDHIANA

 An Interclass Hindi Declamation Competition was organised at D.A.V.Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana on August 5 , 2019 for the students of Class V on its campus. Around 40 students participated in this art of creative expression.

The participants chose their favourite topics based on a given theme and presented their views with proper voice modulation and gestures.The students enthusiastically participated in the competition and exhibited their hidden potential. The declamation witnessed a healthy competition with dexterous articulation among participants. The competition inspired the children to think, work and enact creatively and promoted artistic excellence and made the event most enjoyable for one and all. The Individual positions were as follows:-

1.       1st position was secured by Shrish V-G, Agam V-C

2.       2nd position was bagged by Dilraj V-C, Rayna V-B

3.      3rd position was secured by Harpreet Kaur V-C, Ryan V-F

4.        Consolation Position was secured by Yatharth V-H, Manya V-G

The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar lauded the efforts of the participants and remarked that such competitions enhance the ability to use words effectively and  enable the students to create their own unique identity. She also shared that activities like ‘Declamation ‘ provide students the platform for self expression and prepare them for public speaking with confidence and conviction. She congratulated all the participants and motivated them to come forward for more such competitions and prove their mettle. She blessed them for their bright future.

Van Mahotsav: Let’s Save Trees

With the idea of caring for and nurturing plants, Kindergarten Wing of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana celebrated Van Mahotsav on its campus. The tiny tots of Pre KG came dressed up in green attire and took an initiative to water the saplings.They also raised slogans to promote Afforestation.  To show compassion towards mother  nature the tiny blossoms  hugged the trees. This noble gesture was highly acknowledged by everyone.

To instill the importance of trees among the students, teachers shared the anecdote of ‘Chipko Movement’ . A hand painting activity was also organised for the tiny tots. The children recited melodious rhymes and compositions to save trees.

Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar encouraged the students to preserve trees that play a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance. She added that it is the responsibility of each citizen not only to grow but also taking care and protecting the them. She made the students pledge ‘Green School, Clean School’.

Interclass Commerce Quiz at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

The Financial Literacy and Entrepenurship Club of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized a Commerce Quiz for its Class XI and XII students. 18 students in 6 teams qualified for the finals. The Quiz Masters asked mind boggling and rapid fire questions from the students who left no stone unturned to give a tough competition to their contenders. The commerce Whizkids Gursimar Singh, Manroop Kaur and Pranjal Sharma stood winners with a knocking score.

The Club Incharge Mrs Deepa Malhotra and activity Incharge Ms Damanjit shared that the activity was planned to acquaint the students about recent trends in the field of Commerce beyond bookish knowledge.

Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar applauded the knowledge of the students and efforts of the teachers in their grooming. She encouraged the students to read newspapers and keep updating their knowledge. The quiz enhanced the knowledge and aptitude of the students in Commerce stream.

DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized Efficient Fueling Seminar for Bus Drivers

An informative seminar on efficient use of fuel while driving school buses was organized by PCRA at DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana for the school drivers. Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar shared that DAV Pakhowal has a wide transport network commuting almost all the major and minor vicinities in and around Ludhiana. Therefore, fuel management for the sustainable development of the non renewable sources especially petrol and diesel is crucial for the school. She stated that the onus must be shared by all the institutions which directly or indirectly deal with public transport.

To promote the noble cause and render right guidance, the school invited elite members of the PCRA team on its campus. The Resource Person Ms Jyoti explained the correct revving of ignition and ways to control the combustion of diesel on stops. She also shared the ill effects of smoke released from the vehicles on the environment resulting into catastrophic consequences.

The seminar was also attended by school transporters and transport incharges to regulate the suggested measures and follow up. The drivers pledged to contribute their level best to the environment by opting Eco-friendly measures. It was indeed an eye opener session for all the drivers.

Maths and Science Quiz at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

With an objective to  explore world of   Mathematics and Science, Quiz contests for class IX(Mathematics) and VII(Science) were   conducted at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana . The students of Class VII and IX displayed the spectrum of awareness and intelligence as they answered the Quiz Master with all their wit. The event entailed different rounds like Space Science, Solar Science, Scientific Abbreviation, mental maths, algebra, numbers etc. Every round witnessed a nail-biting competition, that it made elimination and short listing very difficult. The teams that cleared the preliminary rounds made their way to the finals.

Each and every of the quiz was a mixed bag of intriguing questions. The rapid fire round tested the teams on their quick and accurate responses and concluded the winners. It was indeed a brain storming session for all the students. The competition ensured that, the teams were prepared thoroughly, just enough to put-up a tough fight.  In between the different rounds there were few questions for audience to keep their interest alive and make them a part of the activity. Let’s Go Green Drive by  DAV Pakhowal Arya Yuva Samaj and NSS Units

The volunteers of Arya Yuva Samaj and NSS units of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana came forward to plant saplings around Chabra Colony and encourage the residents to spread greenery around the locality. The initiative was wholeheartedly supported by Hon’ble S. Santokh Singh,  Chief Chabra Colony and environmental officers Ms Baljeet Kaur and Ms Aradhana from Sambhav Foundation.

The students and staff planted saplings around the locality and pledged to take care of the environment. The school has voluntarily adopted a local park for planting trees and ecological maintenance.The residents cheered the budding stakeholders with their soulful presence on the occasion. Not only did they encourage the volunteers but also planted saplings with them. The young nature lovers were overwhelmed by the hospitality and cooperation of the residents. S. Santokh Singh stressed the importance of conserving environment. He appreciated both the units for their remarkable contribution to the noble task.

The Pr Dr Satwant Kaur Bhullar, President Arya Yuva Samaj Punjab shared that the school students have been actively involved to shoulder the social responsibilities. The school has been nurturing the core values amongst the students through its Arya Yuva Samaj and NSS units. She stated that with two parallel units of social service, the school is able to render golden pathways to more number of students aspiring to serve society. It is a little pursuit of the school to kindle the bond of harmony with nature. She ensured her constant support to the ventures of community welfare.

Rhyme Show: An Expression of Heart

The cherubs of class 1 of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana actively participated in Rhyme Show held on 27 July,2019. Children recited the Rhymes confidently with proper intonation and facial expressions. The tiny tots recited enthralling verses on themes like Nature, Traffic rules, save girl child and Indian soldiers. They came dressed up as different characters. The zeal of young orators was commendable. Every innocent message conveyed by them had a soothing impact on the audience.

Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar highly appreciated the bouquet of expressive rhymes. She emphasized that the seed of goodness could only be sown at a tender age. They must be duly encouraged and given the best opportunities to flourish. The school always focuses to give exposure to the creativity and critical thinking of the students. INTER CLASS DECLAMATION HELD AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA

An Interclass Declamation Competition was held for class X on July 26th, 2019 at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana.  The competition aimed to promote the skills of effective Public Speaking. Around 50 participants enthusiastically expressed their views on the topics:- Impact of social media on life; Parents and Teachers deserve respect; Brain drain and many more. They displayed their  remarkable hold over English, Hindi and Punjabi. The students presented their thoughtful opinions on various social issues and problems. The audience witnessed the students’ sensitive perception and their spirit to resolve the issues. The contestants gave a cut throat competition to each other.

DAV PAKHOWAL ROAD CELEBRATES SUR SANGAM ‘ THE RYTHM OF LIFE ‘

DAV School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organised class presentation Sur Sangam the rhythm of life and Prize Distribution for class 8 on 25th July 2019. The  event was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of Honorable ACP Rupinder Kaur Bhatti PPS ACP Central Branch cum cybercrime, postings  at  DSP  subdivision Nawanshahr, DSP Headquarters  Kapurthala , DSP, NRI Ludhiana,   ACP headquarter  police comissionerate, Ludhiana.  Around 200 students participated in the function and made it colourful with vibrant performances. The event had a pious beginning with the traditional Lamp Lightning Ceremony followed by the recitation of Ved Mantras and DAV Anthem. The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar accorded a formal welcome to all the guests, grandparents and parents of the students. She thanked the dignitaries for their unconditional support in giving latitude to the event. In her address she emphasized that the event is a small effort to polish the talent and presentation skills of the kids. She also admired the efforts of the teachers who left no stone unturned in grooming the students for a spectacular show. She also thanked the parents for their cooperation and support to the school.

The well-organized choreography on Patriotism spread awareness on the sensitive global concern. The Haryanvi , Gujrati ,Classical and Solo Dance filled the audience with viguor and enthusiasm. The musical performances by students singing Saraswati Vandna , Classical song  and Haryanvi song enthralled the crowd .The awesome one act play on true women empowerment  left the crowd spellbound. The English Drama promoting the importance of grandparents and joint family system depicted the reality of the society. The presentation of all the students were par excellence. The meritorious students who had excelled in academics and various competitions and olympiads were honoured by the dignitaries.

The Chief Guest Hon’ble Rupinder Kaur Bhatti  appreciated the students for their efforts. She congratulated the teachers and parents for the unsurpassed performance of their children. She enlightened the gathering with her pearls of wisdom. She appealed that whatever the children had done must be rewarded with encouragement and appreciation. Their acts should not be judged but observed as the finest work in their capacity. They must be nurtured under the shade of love and affection.

Mrs Jaideep Kaur  proposed vote of thanks to all present for sparing some moments of their valuable time to boost the morale of the school and the students. The whole programme came to a splendid end with National Anthem.

DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana won laurels at the 3rd National Student Games 2019-20

The girl sportstars of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana represented Punjab State in the 3rd National Student Games 2019-20 organized by Students Games Federation of India on 20 th and 21st July 2019 at Sujanpur Tihra, Himachal Pradesh. The girls team rocked the national platform with their unsurpassable performance in U-22 Basket Ball and U-14 Badminton Championships. Tonight The U-22 Girls team including Avleen Kaur, Pretty Sidhu, Kanishka, Bhavika, Jasleen, Parneet, Sahaj, Aditi and Deepinder bagged Gold Medals for their excellent performance. The U-14 Badminton players Karul and Anvi bagged Gold and Kashvi grabbed the Silver.

The team coach Mr. Rajesh Thakur shared that the players gave cut throat competition to their contenders and grabbed appreciation for being talented and hardworking.

She lauded the efforts of the school girls team that never leave any stone unturned to give their best and bring laurels to school.
