DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana Celebrated Labour Day

Labour Day was celebrated at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana on 1st May 2019. All the helpers of the school were acknowledged with a rich tribute by the students. The school planned a refreshing and entertaining session for all the Grade D employees. The tiny tots of Pre KG, LKG and UKG looked adorable as they came dressed up as various helpers like doctor, barber, milkman, greengrocer, police, soldier, teacher, cobbler etc. They depicted various roles helpers play in their lives. An overwhelming role play was enacted by the tiny tots of Class I. The function kicked off with the students of Class XI-Humanities who presented a melodious welcome song to enthrall the gathering.   Vishwaas Vaid and Simranpreet Kaur  welcomed and acknowledged the guests with their heartouching speech. Radhika Madaan stole the heart of the audience with a beautiful poem. The Musical performance by Arindham, Rhythm, and Mehak and folk song by Nirmol Aseem Sharma, Satvik and Akashdeep created a mesmerizing ambience. The helpers cordially received and appreciated the handmade Thank you cards from the students.  The event was organised to impart a better understanding of the labour community among the students who must learn to respect and appreciate their efforts and understand the dignity of labour. The students must realize the importance of their contribution in making their lives convenient.

The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar congratulated all the workers and thanked them for their selfless services. She also admired the efforts of the students in making their helpers feel special and proud. She stressed that the helpers feel encouraged if they get recognition and affection for their work. DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana premium students brought laurels in IIT-JEE Mains -2019

DAV Pakhowal Road had a gala time extending huge applause to the achievers who qualified IIT-JEE Mains-2019. Seven students Ishan Sharma, Dhriti Gupta, Arjun Kathail, Tarun Kumar Gupta, Namit Gupta, Tanveer Singh and Keeratpreet Kaur  of Class XII brought accolades for the school by grabbing a scintillating score above percentile 90 . It is indeed a proud moment for the school that the students have paved  way towards their bright future.

The mighty students from Science stream  left no stone unturned to enhance the glory of the school with their unbeatable scores in JEE Mains 2019. The talented students are all geared up to perform equally well in their upcoming AISSCE .It will indeed be a privilege for the school to pass on its gems to several prestigious colleges around India  to be further polished into precious stones.

Inter-Class DECLAMATION  HELD AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA

An Interclass Declamation Competition was held for class IX on April 26th and 27th , 2019 at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana. The aim of the competition was to let the students use the wings of their cognitive creativity through effective oratory skills.  Around 50 students participated enthusiastically in the competition displaying there remarkable hold over English, Hindi and Punjabi. The students presented their thoughtful opinions on various social issues and problems. The  audience witnessed the students’ sensitive perception and their spirit to resolve the issues.The contestants gave a cut throat competition to each other. In English Hershnoor Kaur of Class IX-D bagged first position, Sidhakveer Singh of Class  IX-B and Kriti of Class IX-I bagged second positon, Abhay Pratap Singh Gill of Class IX-D bagged third position. In Hindi Garima  of Class IX-E bagged first position, Harleen Kaur of Class  IX-B  bagged second positon, Ashnoor Singla of Class IX-D bagged third position and Khushant Sharma of Class IX-F bagged Consolation.  In Punjabi  Dashreet Singh of Class IX-D bagged first position, Gurleen Kaur and Nimanjot Kaur of Class IX-H  bagged second positon, Harsimran Kaur of Class IX-E  bagged third position and Tanveen of Class IX-F bagged Consolation.

Earth Day Celebration at DAV Pakhowal

Earth Day was celebrated by DAV Public School,Pakowal Road Ludhiana on its campus on April 22, 2019 with great enthusiasm. Various activities were organised for the tiny tots of different classes. On this occasion children of PreKG did hand painting with green colour spreading the message ‘Help Me Make My Mother Earth Green’. Students of LKG and UKG adorned themselves as trees, flowers, butterflies, woodcutter etc.The blooming buds depicted various scenes where they emphasized to grow more trees, Save Water, Stop the use of polythene bags to create awareness about Environment protection. A ‘Sapling Plantation Drive’ was organised in which students of Class I and II brought different types of saplings and planted them in and around the campus .The students of Class II marched rally to promote and spread awareness about Save Earth. It was a great day to showcase Environment Education, highlight effort to green the school and engage the student community in making a difference.

She appreciated the efforts of the children who initiated to shoulder the responsibility to beautify the mother earth. Culture and Heritage Quiz at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

With an objective to raise awareness among the students about the conservation and management of the country’s heritage and sensitize them about the rich cultural diversity of India, a Heritage Quiz Contest was conducted at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana. The students of Class XI and XII displayed the spectrum of awareness and intelligence as they answered Quiz Master with all their with. The students gained tremendous information while their preparation and during their presentation. The rapid fire round tested the teams on their quick and accurate responses and concluded the winners. The audience was equally involved to answer the passed questions. It was indeed a brain storming session for all the students.

 In between the different rounds there were few questions for audience to keep their interest alive and make them a part of the activity. The team comprising Khushnaz, Muskan, Harsheen and Shreya stood victorious and made their day.

The Principal Dr Satwant Kaur Bhullar congratulated the winners and extended her heartfelt appreciation to the students as well as the teachers for their enthusiastic participation and presentation. She enlightened the students by telling them about the diversity of our cultural wealth and suggested solutions needed to preserve and protect it. MAHATAMA HANSRAJ DAY CELEBRATIONS AT DAV PAKHOWAL ROAD LUDHIANA

The staff and students of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana paid a floral tribute to the divine mentor Mahatama Hansraji on 19-04-2019. A special class presentation on the theme ‘Save Environment’ by Class X was organized to extend the horizon of celebrations. The event was inaugurated by the pious hands of Hon’ble Mr Pritpal Singh (Consultant DGP Punjab) as the Chief Guest of the day. A sacred Havan Yajana was performed by the Guests and students to mark the auspicious beginning of the event.

The Pr. Dr. Bhullar enlightened the gathering with the convincing and fruitful life of Mahatama Hansraji. She stated that it is a matter of great pride for each DAVean to commemorate the birth anniversary of such a towering personality who had been an epitome of wisdom and simplicity. His life is an open book and it’s each chapter is a golden leaf. His guiding principles are a store house of values and secrets of an accomplished life.

The day became memorable one when Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar, President of AryaYuva Samaj, Punjab, flagged off a team of Arya Yuva Samaj to Bala ji Prem Ashram and Nikhil Vidyalya. The school volunteers along with Ms Shaveta Kaplish and Mr. Yatender  visited the Ashram to spend quality time with the unassisted and abandoned children who gladly responded to their noble gesture. They also distributed fruits, grocery items and shared sweet moments with them. The students developed an empathetic and loving bond with the children and multiplied the cheer.

Ms Babita Saharan, HOD Hindi Department shared the ideology of Mahatama Hansraji with the students.

The celebration was an awakening for the stakeholders. Dr. Bhullar appreciated the pursuits of the teachers for imbibing the core values amongst students. She said that being a good and responsible human being is the true reverence to the holy mentor.

CLASS PRESENTATION OF X HELD AT DAV PAKHOWAL

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized presentation of Class X on 18th April. The activity aimed to hone the presentation skills of the students, build confidence and develop leadership qualities amongst the budding artists. Around 400 students of Class X participated in various activities which were based on different themes like Save Environment, Culture and Heritage and Punjabi Folk . The show was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of Chief Guest Ms. Haleen Kaur, a renowned Fashion designer, Writer and Talk show host . The students showcased their talent remarkably. They participated with verve, enthusiasm and high spirits to present themselves on such a big platform. The teens had a gala time preparing and presenting performances.The stage came alive when the vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The choreography, speech , skit, music, dance and presentation of all the students were par excellence.

She stressed that such presentations reduce students’ fear and anxiety of public speaking. The teachers flourish the talents by giving a professional touch to the hidden creativity.
