DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana premium students brought laurels in IIT-JEE Mains – 2020

DAV Pakhowal Road had a gala time extending huge applause to the meritorious achievers who qualified IIT-JEE Mains- 2020. Yashank Aggarwal (99.7977), Yashika Malhotra (99.51) and Yuvraj Angi (99.107) of Class XII bagged laurels for the school by grabbing commendable percentile in IIT-JEE 2020. Six students Sanyam Sood (97.568), Shivansh Juneja (97.474), Triaksh Gupta (97.439), Bhavya Mittal (97.1418), Harshdeep Singh (96.8564) and Sangamdeep Singh (95.73) were also acknowledged for their brilliant scores in IIT-JEE Mains. It is indeed a proud moment for the school that the students have paved the way towards their bright future.

The diligent students of DAV Pakhowal left no stone unturned to enhance the glory of the school with their unbeatable scores in IIT-JEE Mains,2020. The talented brigade is all set to take its place in the realm of higher learning. Pariksha Pe Charcha’- P. M.’s Live address to the students at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized the telecast of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha -2020’ by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji in its campus on 20-1-2020. The students from different classes along with their teachers were completely excited to listen to the precious discourse of the P. M. The campaign was another initiative by Modi ji to transform India.

The Principal Dr Satwant Kaur Bhullar appreciated the thoughtful and wise initiative of Hon’ble Prime Minister towards bringing revolution in the thinking of the students. She admired Modi ji for lifting the lid of ignorance amongst the youngsters. She also expressed that Modi ji is extremely unique in his ideology. Nobody can stop a nation from progress with such a versatile leader who remains constantly concerned about the minutest development of the public. His professional and personal approach to the general public entitles him to be the best administrator. He has truly put in his heart, soul and sweat to the welfare of the nation. She saluted the indomitable spirit of hard work and commitment in Modi Ji.

Makarskranti Celebrated at DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

The staff of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana celebrated Makarsakranti on its campus on 14/1/2020 with utmost devotion and zeal. The day began with auspicious havan by the school Arya Yuva Samaj Unit. The school welcomed the sacred Guru Granth Saheb ji on its premises and seek blessings of the Almighty. The staff recited the pious path of Sukhmani Saheb, Anand Saheb and savoured the soulful Gurubani. The staff also lit the holy bonfire and celebrated Lohri. The staff sang folk lore .The teachers had a gala time relishing the Lohri feast.

She congratulated all the newlyweds and teachers blessed with newly born girls and boy babies. Lohri Celebrations at D.A.V Public School, Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

The staff and the students of D.A.V Public School, Pakhowal Road, celebrated Lohri on its campus with exuberance and gaiety. The mood on the campus was cheerful and the students were totally immersed in the festive spirit. The day began with offering prayers to Almighty for the well being, happiness and contentment of all the living beings. The students worshipped ‘Dhooni’ and sang songs immersed in rich cultural folklore of Punjab and danced around the holy bonfire. The ambrosia of revdi, gachak was savoured by the gathering in unison. The teachers imparted awareness on the importance of the festival.

The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar extended her best wishes to all for the occasion. She shared that with the blessings of our deities and mentors, the alma mater has been catering to the educational needs of thousands of students. ANNUAL TRAINING CUM ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR CBSE BOARD EXAMINATION 2020 AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA

DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana hosted Annual Training Cum Orientation Programme for CBSE Board Examination 2020 on its campus on 10th January 2020 with the participation of around 300 Principals and Teachers from different CBSE Schools. The session was conducted by the esteemed resource persons Hon’ble Mr.Sanjeev Sharma, Assistant Secretary CBSE, Punchkula and Ms. Neena Tiwari, PGT Chemistry, BCM, Basant Avenue, Ludhiana.

The programme focused on efficient, smooth and fair conduct of examinations and timely and error free declaration of results. The persons threw light on the revised evaluation policies and shared methods to handle all examinations and assessments for a better administration/conduction. They also shared about the practical difficulties faced by CBSE schools and the steps to be taken to overcome them.

The session strengthened the foundation of the education system. Overall the orientation programme was an enriching and enlightening experience for all the Principals and teachers.

TWO DAYS CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS INAUGURATED AT DAV PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA

Under the aegis of DAVCAE, DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana inaugurated a Two Days Capacity Building Programme for Primary to Senior Secondary teachers on 7th and 8th January, 2020 for the subjects of Social Science, Punjabi, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Physical Education and EEDP-II for Pre-Primary. The Workshop was graced by the presence of eminent accessors respected Principal Mr. Brij Mohan, DAV Public School, Jagraon (Social Science) and Pr. Ms. Anuja Bhardwaj, DAV Public School, Khanna (Economics) and from the faculty of DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana, Ms. Navjotdeep Kaur (Punjabi), Mr. Kamaljit Singh (Physical Education) and Ms. Babita Katyal (Pre Primary). The workshop was conducted by an elite faculty from DAV including Ms. Davinderjit Kaur, Ms. Riya Upadhyay, Ms. Rumjit Kaur, Ms. Diksha Khanna ,Ms. Kavita Anand, Ms. Manjeet Kaur (Social Science),Ms. Harpreet Kaur , Ms. Gurdeep Kaur (Punjabi), Ms. Monica Gupta, Ms. Deepa Malhotra (Economics), Ms. Aman Dhir (Accountancy and Business Studies), Mr. Rajesh Thakur (Physical Education) and Ms Tanu Gupta and Ms. J. Seema Sharma (EEDP – II).

It was indeed a matter of great honour for the teachers of ten DAV schools to be a part of this enrichment programme. The session started off with brainstorming questions which ignited the creative thought process of the teachers. Many interactive, fun-filled activities and complex concepts were explained thoroughly. These activities focused on creative methods of the teaching-learning process which can be adopted in the classroom. The resource persons elaborated minutest nuances of the various subjects and stressed on the innovative teaching methods for gifted and slow learners. The various ways to add art integrated activities were also discussed. The participants had a great time of learning and peer sharing while participating in the interesting classroom activities.

She shared that these workshops are purely customized as per the needs of the teachers. In her address she threw light on the practical challenges and problems being faced by the teachers in the teaching learning process and urged everyone to minimizes the use of plastic to protect the environment .She also expressed her high expectations from the teachers to learn and excel in their classroom work and management.

DAV GAAN COMPETITION HELD AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA

DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organised DAV Gaan Competition on 27th December 2019 for class III. The activity was planned with the noble objective of making the students understand the rich heritage and mission of DAV. The students recited the soulful anthem with deep reverence and devotion. They participated and showcased their musical melodies and expressed their love for the institution.
The vocalists from different sections left the audience awestruck with their command over voice modulation, notes, rhythm and other important aspects of singing. The success of the show could be well judged by the soulful smile on the faces of the students and the teachers.

Quiz O Mania conducted at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana

With an objective to explore world of Social Sciences, ‘Quiz O Mania on Theme – Constitution’ was conducted at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana on 27th December 2019. The students of Class VIII displayed the spectrum of alertness and intelligence as they answered Quiz Master with all their wit. The students gained tremendous information while their preparation and during their presentation. The teams that cleared the preliminary rounds made their way to the finals.The mind-boggling rounds of questions related to Constitution of India were exhilarating. The final round tested the teams on their quick and accurate responses and concluded the winners. DAV PAKHOWAL ROAD organised ‘SANKALP -An Oath to Protect Mother Earth’

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organised Class VII presentation ‘Sankalp-An Oath to Protect Mother’ Earth and Prize Distribution Function. The event was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of Honorable Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar. Around 220 students participated in the function and made it colourful with their vibrant performances. The event had a pious beginning with the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony followed by recitation of Ved Mantras and DAV Anthem. The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar accorded a formal welcome to the grandparents and parents of the students. In her address she shared that the event is a small effort to polish the talent and presentation skills of the kids. She also admired the efforts of the teachers who left no stone unturned in grooming the students for a spectacular show. She added that their work should not be judged but observed as the finest work in their capacity .She also thanked the parents for their cooperation and support to the school.

The cultural event began with the chanting of sacred Shabad Gaan by the little devotees. The choreography on ‘save environment’ convinced the audience to the core. The Sufi ‘Alimola ‘and ‘Dama Dam Mast’ dances filled the audience with vigour and enthusiasm. The melodious notes of sufi song enthralled the crowd . One act play on ‘Say No to Plastic’ left the crowd spellbound. The English Drama on’ Mobile Mania’ depicted the reality of the society. Hindi skit on ‘ Paryavaran Bachao’ was really thought provoking. The presentation of all the students was par excellence. The meritorious students who had excelled in academics and various olympiads were honoured with trophies and medals.

Mrs Jaideep Kaur, the academic supervisor proposed vote of thanks to all present for sparing their valuable time to boost the morale of the students. The whole programme came to a splendid end with National Anthem.

WINTER CARNIVAL AND CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS AT DAV PAKHOWAL ROAD LUDHIANA

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized Winter Carnival and Christmas celebrations for its tiny tots on its campus on 23rd Dec, 2019. The entire school was adorned with colourful streamers, balloons, brightly decorated Christmas trees, snowmen, Christmas crib and a village scene. The blooming buds of KG Wing came dressed up in colourful winter clothes as Santa Claus, fairies, flowers and butterflies. The cherubs looked adorable as they flamed up the ramp with their confident walk in the fashion show. The zeal among tiny tots was such that they couldn’t help tapping their feet on the beats of Jingle Bells. The students learned vocabulary related to seasonal crops, food items, clothing and festivals especially Christmas.The children relished cakes, dry fruits and delicious winter food like Makki Ki Roti, Sarson ka Saag with Chatti Di Lassi . The participation of the kids in the Christmas Carnival brought a smile and a spark of joy in the eyes of all present. The activities gave the little ones the joy of celebrating all the festivals with their loved ones.
Mrs. Sangeeta Mahindroo, Academic Supervisor (Pre-Primary Wing) and Mrs. J.Seema, Academic Supervisor (Classes 1st and 2nd) shared that the students left no stone was unturned to sprinkle the magic of their talent and creativity. Their benevolent presence made the occasion vibrant and cheerful.

She expressed her delight in seeing such enthusiasm in the kids who brought the spirit of Christmas alive. She appealed the staff and the students to donate generously to the orphanages, old age homes, special schools etc. and spread happiness. The festival brought tons of joys for all.
