Samvidhan Diwas Celebrated at D.A.V.Pakhowal Road,Ldh.
D.A.V Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana observed Samvidhan Diwas celebrations on its campus on 26 Nov, 2019. The school SST Department shouldered the onus to celebrate this glorious occasion. As per the C.B.S.E. guidelines Preamble was read out to the students in both Hindi and English. Hardik (X-G) administered the oath mentioned in Preamble and Rhythm (X-E) spoke extensively on the features and values of the Indian Constitution.
Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar congratulated the stakeholders of the nation on this momentous occasion. She also shared that the school is going to follow the C.B.S.E. guildlines in the context religiously and will leave no stone unturned to impart the wire thoughts of Hon’ble Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
KHELO INDIA PROGRAMME FOR SPORTS TEACHERS AT D.AV.PUBLIC SCHOOL, PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA
D.AV.Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana hosted CBSE One Day Training Programme on Khelo India Programme for sports teachers on its campus on 25th November, 2019 with the participation of around 80 delegates from different CBSE schools. The eminent resource persons of the day were Sh. Jitender Kumar, Executive Assistant, Khelo India and Ms. Sarabjeet Kaur, PGT Physical Education.
The resource persons acquainted the gathering with the objective of building strong framework of sports in school and among students to make India a great sporting nation.This workshop gave an interactive dynamic experience to the delegates and an opportunity to discuss about assessment strategies and activities with the teachers so that they can groom their students athletic skills in a better way. Participants were familiarised with various innovative games and activities based on manipulative skills, motor skills , social and emotional skills. The workshop marked a cherishable learning experience for all the delegates. A felicitous valedictory ceremony was performed where the resource persons were honoured for their strenuous efforts.
Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar welcomed the resource persons and the delegates. She enlightened the teachers about the goals of the workshop. She shared that these workshops are purely customized as per the needs of the teachers. In her address she threw light on the practical challenges and problems being faced by the teachers in the teaching learning process.
NCC day was celebrated at DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana with great vigour and valor. A ceremonial function was organised on the occasion wherein, Subedar Harpal Singh 13Pb Batallion was the chief guest. The function initiated with the chanting of holy Gayatri Mantra. The Khakhi cladded cadets took the pledge to be disciplined and responsible citizens. The NCC flag was hoisted with the recitation of the NCC song. Cadets saluted and honored the chief guest and carried out the march past on musical drum beat. The major attraction of the day was the display of bravery, patriotism and defence through the enactment on ‘ The Battle of Saragarhi.’The audience was left spellbound by the mesmerizing performance of these courageous students.The enthusiasm and energy of the bhangra team stole the heart.The one act play on ‘Balanced life: The secret of happiness ‘ was indeed thought provoking . The chief guest addressed the cadets and motivated them with his armed forces experience. He also shared his knowledge about weapons, rock craft and ice craft training. He emphasised on the importance of devotion, dedication and sincerity in a student’s life. Principal Dr.Satwant Kaur Bhullar briefed the audience about the achievements of NCC cadets and their activities during the session. She inspired the students to focus on their target and make tireless efforts to achieve it. The programme concluded with the recitation of the national anthem.
PLEDGE TO ‘CONSERVE WATER , CONSERVE LIFE’ AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL PAKHOWAL ROAD LUDHIANA
Under the leadership and guidance of Hon’ble Dr. S.S. Johl Ji and Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar, the Eco club members of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized a pledge ceremony to save water and seminar on usage of Twin Bin at school campus on 22nd November 2019. The students from classes Pre- Kg to +2 along with staff and grade four employees pledged to shoulder the responsibility of protecting the environment and spreading the awareness to conserve it. The Eco club team boost awareness amongst all of them on water conversation and clean environment. The activity ensured that ethical values always remain ingrained in the minds of the budding youth.
Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar said that the water pollution is an alarming situation and need immediate attention. She appreciated the efforts of the students and mentioned that school will take part in such activities which would help in the Nation’s growth. She added that this initiative taken by eco club team is very valuable for the improvement of our environment, particularly water resources and cleanliness. She said that the education and action sprinkled with the spirit of enthusiastic young students who will give new direction to the society. She shared that the school students have been actively involved to shoulder the social responsibilities. The school has been nurturing the core values amongst the students.
DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana students bagged recognition at 27 th National Children’s Science Congress
The budding scientists Tavleen Kaur and Shubhkarman Saharan of Class XI from DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana participated in the 27th National Children’s Science Congress (District Level) was organized by National Council for Science and Technology Communication held at R.S. Model School, Ludhiana. The students grabbed heartfelt appreciation for their unique project ‘Synthesis of Novel Bio absorbent based on Rice Husk and Stubble for Wastewater Treatment’. The visitors admired the creative thinking and indispensable utility of the project in controlling the elements which pollute the air and water resources and will help in safeguarding them for coming generations.
The project Incharge Jagdeep Singh (Senior Physics Teacher, DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana) shared that the project is a boon for farmers and people alike as it will kill two birds with one stone.
Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar congratulated the team for the wonderful performance. She shared that the school also got tremendous recognition at National Children Science Congress – National Level with B+ grade. She stated that it was indeed a golden opportunity to display the project amongst 22 teams from the district. Participation in such a grand event itself was a huge exposure. The school team came back enriched and qualified for state level. The school has been providing lucrative opportunities for the students to learn and progress. She also assured that the school is leaving no stone unturned to enhance the academic and co-curricular strength of the students.
STORY ENACTMENT COMPETITION AT D.A.V. PUBLIC SCHOOL LUDHIANA
To keep the tradition of story telling going on and to incite curiosity and love for reading in children, a story enactment competition was organised at D.A.V.Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana on 20th Nov, 2019 for the students of Class II on its campus. Around 100 students participated in this art of creative expression. The shining stars stole the show by enacting on different moral stories like Helping others, Caring and sharing, Importance of cleanliness, The foolish men etc.The students narrated beautiful and convincing stories. The young story tellers used a variety of props to make their stories interesting and expressive. They came dressed up in the attire according to their character.The students exhibited utmost enthusiasm and passion in telling stories. The first position was bagged by class II-E, second position II-H & third position II-A. The consolation prize went to II-G.
Mrs J. Seema, Academic Supervisor shared that stories give wings to the students’ imagination and transport them to places beyond the boundaries of their physical world. Therefore, telling stories are an integral part of the school curriculum.
The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar shared that insights on diction and pronunciation help the students to perform a notch higher. Such activities enhance their confidence and speaking skills. She acknowledged the efforts of the students as well as teachers & appreciated the winners.

Ludhiana on November 16, 2019.
The staff and the students gathered
to pay obesience to their noble mentor with utmost devotion and respect. The
Utsarg Parv was solemnised in the presence of Hon’ble Shri H.R. Gandhar Ji,
Advisor to President DAVCMC and the Chief Guest along with other elite
dignitaries Mrs Sudesh Gandhar, Pr. Dr.Ajay Sareen ( Manager DAV Pakhowal Road

bhajan ‘Tere Naam Ka Simran Kar ke… ‘ by the school supporting staff
mesmerised the gathering encore. A ppt was shown on Mahatmaji’s contribution
for upliftment of education and society. The one act play on the inspirational
incidents from the life of Mahatma Hansraji by the students was thoroughly
overwhelming. The devotional Qawali presentation dedicated to Mahatma Hansraji
resonated the entire ambience with peace and contentment.

President Arya Yuva Samaj Punjab welcomed the guests. She shared the noble
objectives and her planner of Arya Yuva Samaj Unit activities with the
audience. She also threw light on the various welfare initiatives taken by the
school AYU.
Hon’ble Shri H.R. Gandharji
encouraged the students and teachers with his pearls of wisdom. He enlightened
the gathering by sharing the priceless philosophy of Mahatama Hansraji and Arya
Yuva Samaj through his precious discourse. He stressed that teachers
should encourage the students to take
creative flight for bright future of the nation. He motivated all to keep the
inner Gods voice alive in this fast pacing techno world. He also appreciated the efforts of the school
in promoting the noble venture and spreading the fragrance of Arya Samaj.
The event concluded with the
recitation of Shanti Path and prayer for the well-being of one and all.
Children’s Day Celebrations at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana
To commemorate the birth anniversary of ‘Chacha Nehru ‘, Children’s Day was celebrated in DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road Ludhiana on14th November, 2019 with great fervour and gaiety.The entire day was a panorama of fun filled activities to keep the spirit of childhood alive . The blooming buds came dressed up in colourful clothes ,full of excitement . On this occasion, a special assembly was conducted with a vision to instill values among the children. Thereafter, to make this day more memorable the little cherubs enjoyed different games like Bindi sticking, bursting balloon,Spoon Race, T-Shirt change Race etc.
A Hasya kavi Sammelan was also organized on the occasion to add smiles and laughter on the faces of the students.
Healthy and nutritional flameless cooking activity were organized to explore the culinary skills of the students. Students displayed their childhood emotions through the artistic display of Greeting Cards, posters and Rangoli. To celebrate the vigour and energy of childhood, Kho Kho and Kabaddi matches were also conducted for the students of class VIII. The Yoga activity for the students of X brought smile and serenity on the young faces . The school Arya Yuva Samaj unit volunteers visited Prem Ashram and Nikhil Vidalya to and shared happiness with the unassisted children. The students sang songs and relished cakes and delicacies to multiply their joys. The enthusiasm and frolic wafted in the air as the children tapped their feet on the beats of music.It was a joyous and exciting day for the children.
Pr. Dr. Bhullar shared that Children’s Day is a befitting tribute to Chacha Nehru and his thoughts about children and their contribution to a nation’s progress. With this, she blessed the kids with a bright future and noble minds.

The sports stars of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana blazed a trail of glory in DAV National Sports- Zonal Level Taekwondo and Wushu tournament held at DAV Lawrence Road and Karate tourney organized at DAV International School, Amritsar on 6and 7th November. The day became more momentous when Boys Taekwondo team clinched the overall trophy which added a glorious leaf in the history of the school. Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar accorded a warm reception to the winners. She shared that such tourney give latitude to sports and physical fitness amongst youth throughout India. She emphasized the significance of true sportsmanship and stated that if winning gives joy then losing teaches us the lesson not to give up and prepare harder to come back with a bang.

celebrated the pious occasion of 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji on its campus with utmost reverence and devotion. The presence of school associates and well wishers Inderjeet Ricky, Transport Incharge, Balwinder Singh Bitta, Lalit Walia and Mr. Chauhan added lusture to ocassion.The celebrations spanned over two days indulging the entire staff and students in the religious activities. The devotees enchanted sacred Gurbani, Japuji Sahib ji, Sukhmani Sahib ji, Anand Sahib and Chaupyi Sahib ji with heart and soul. The magical and mesmerizing impact of Shabad Kirtan intensified the auspicious ambience with peace and serenity. The pious aura of KG wing cherubs who came dressed up as Panj Pyaras added luster to the spiritual occasion. The students adorned the school premises with holy quotes from Guru Nanak’s Bani. The enlightening poems on Guru’s life and mission were an eye-opener for the august gathering. The spiritual devotees participated in quiz competition based on Guru’s philosophy and spellbound the parents and visitors with their knowledge and preparation . The moment became more momentous when tiny tots made innocent efforts to propagate guru’s teaching by reciting Mool mantra and holy shabad. The listeners were touched by their melodious articulation and presentation. Ms. Gurdeep Kaur, H.O.D Punjabi Deptt. and Coordinator of the Celebrations threw light on the life of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar extended her heartfelt congratulations to all for the occasion. The soulful Ardas touched the hearts of all present. The religious discourse was followed by ‘Guru Ka Langar’. It was indeed a bliss for the school to celebrate such a pious and religious festival on its campus.
