Healthy Food Platter Interclass Competition at DAV Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana
DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized Interclass Healthy Food Platter Competition to encourage students to develop healthy food habits and lead a high-quality life. The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar appreciated the efforts of the students. She said, “They all have proven themselves to be the future master chefs”. She encouraged the students to respect and relish home-cooked and fresh food. She also insisted the students to help in household chores and play outdoor games for a healthy and active lifestyle.
DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA INUGRATED JIGYASA – THE SCIENCE EXHIBITION AND ECO- CLUB WITH GLITZ
DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, ludhiana organized Jigyasa – The Annual Science Exhibition of the school on 6th November, 2019. The exhibition was a magnificent panorama of several creative science projects displayed by around 350 students who beat two preliminary rounds to reach the apex. The event was graced by one of the school esteemed mentors Padma Bhushan Hon’ble Dr. S.S. Johl ji(Chancellor, Central University and Vice Chairman, DAV public School)as the Chief Guest. The participants spellbound the visitors with their matchless imagination and splendid creativity. The thought provoking working and non-working science models on Energy conservation,Robotics,DNA Structure, 3R’s and 4R’s, Computational Physics etc. grabbed huge appreciation. The teachers and students left no stone unturned to prove their mettle through their priceless presentation.
The day also worked marked to be a Red Letter Day in the history Dr. S.S. Johl inaugurated the school’s first Eco club with his auspicious hands. The Eco Club volunteers pledged to shoulder the responsibility of protecting the environment and spread the awareness to conserve it.
Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar shared that it is a matter of great honour and pride for the school to launch its first Eco Club under the dued leadership and guidance of Hon’ble Johl sir.She also admired CBSE for its thoughtful initiative to inculcate care and concern for the environment among the budding stakeholders.
Rev. Dr. Johl appreciated the efforts of the students for putting up a spectacular show of creativity and vitality. He enlightened the students with his magnanimous knowledge and encouraged them to work hard in the direction of accomplishing their goals.
The exhibition was not only an eye feasting treat to behold but a huge storehouse of information and education for all.
Vigilance Awareness Week at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana
DAV Public
School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized the Vigilance Awareness Week as per the
guidelines issued by CBSE on its campus to encourage the fight against
corruption amongst the youth. Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar shared that
the menace of corruption has become a huge concern for the society. Corrupt
practices bring in social unrest and injustice which leads to stress and
anxiety. The tender youth is also not aloof of the consequences. Therefore, it
becomes the moral duty of the schools to shoulder the responsibility of
spreading the awareness and extending the safety to the students against
corruption. She appreciated the
thoughtful initiative taken by CBSE in promoting the cognizance against
corruption. Dr. Bhullar also stressed that the wisest way to curb this menace
is right guidance and education. She also ensured her constant contribution and
support in this noble endeavor.
A slew of activities was rolled out to mark
the celebration of vigilance awareness week starting from pledge taking to
essay writing, cartoon making and poster making competitions on the topic
‘Integrity- A Way of Life’ for classes IX to XI through maximum student
participation in the activities and applauding out of the box ideas for future
governance sans corruption.

RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS CELEBRATED AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA
To commemorate the 144TH birth anniversary
of Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, DAV Public School, Pakhowal
Road, Ludhiana celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas , as per the guidelines issued
by CBSE on 31st October 2019 on its campus.A slew of activities was rolled out
to mark the celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas starting from pledge taking to
essay writing, declamation and March Past.
The students from class VIII to XII came
forward to participate in the planned activities and display their novel
content and creative expression in the essay writing on the theme ‘ Sardar
Vallabh Bhai Patel’ in English, Hindi and Punjabi. The young minds astounded
all with their innovative ideas and knowledge .Hrishita Arora ,School Head
Girl, NCC and NSS volunteers delivered speech on the endless contribution made
by Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel for social welfare. She also administered the oath to maintain the
unity and integrity of the country.Under the supervision of NB/ SUB S.
Parwinder Singh, cadets of NCC enthusiastically participated in the March Past
to pay tribute to him for his great efforts made to unite India.
Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar encouraged the
stakeholders to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of their nation
to withstand the threats to its unity, integrity and security. She acknowledged
the endeavour of CBSE to implement such thoughtful strategies in schools to
ingrain the values of honesty, unity and integrity. She appreciated the efforts
of the students and mentioned that school will take part in such activities
which would help in the Nation’s growth.

DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized its annual Diwali celebrations with great pomp and show on 23rd and 24th Oct, 2019. A spectacular Diwali Exhibition ‘Pratibha’ was organized to display beautiful and creative handmade exhibits of the students. The momentous event was inaugurated by Hon’ble IPS Sachin Gupta (ADCP/ PBI Organized Crime) as the Chief Guest. The event was a spectrum of a wide range of handmade paintings, Diyas, candles, wall hangings, home decor items, handicrafts, etc. The budding fashion designers mesmerized the visitors with their crochet work, exquisite jute bags, Kurtis, dupattas, designer shoes, jewelry, vanity kits etc. Along with the eye feasting exhibition, the students put up food stalls at the ‘Foodexpress’ to tickle the taste buds. The sumptuous and wafting multicuisine enhanced the charm of the carnival. Respected IPS Sachin Gupta admired the students for their strenuous efforts and congratulated the school staff for a brilliant show. Pr. Dr.Satwant Kaur Bhullar showered her blessings and extended her heartfelt greetings to all present. She boosted the morale of the students and appreciated their presentation skills. The event accomplished with sweet and cherishable memories.
DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana U-19 sports stars returned home romping victorious in the DAV National Sports-2019 Cluster Level Archery, Badminton, Shooting, Boxing, Swimming, Lawn Tennis, Wrestling, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Gymnastics Tournament held on 18 & 19th October, 2019 at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar. Around 400 talented players of different schools from Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Jammu & Kashmir became a part of this integral event. The event was made momentous with the gracious presence of respected Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij. She encouraged the players for putting up strenuous efforts and playing fairly with true sportsman spirit throughout the event leaving diligent goals for their fellows. Yuvraj in Archery, Shahbaz Singh in Wrestling 97 weight category, Girls Hockey Team rocked the sports arena by clinching gold. U- 19 Girls Badminton Team bagged second position. Pr. Dr. Bhullar congratulated all the teachers of the Physical Education Dept. for their hard work and good show. She appreciated the players and their whole hearted endeavour to achieve the pinnacle of success. She blessed the aspiring sports stars and wished for their bright future.

DAV Public School,Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana bagged laurels at DAV Science Galleria -2019 The students of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana left an indelible mark of their achievements at the DAV Science Galleria -2019 held at DAV College ,Jalandhar. Ten budding innovative scientists from the school participated in different categories and gave a cut throat competition to their fellow opponents. In Rangoli Competition Ritisha Punni and Sanya Gupta of Class XII grabbed the first position for their creative Rangoli on Big Bang Theory .

With the objective to hone the oratory skills of the blooming buds and to promote global level learning an ISA Activity on Elocution for class VI was organized at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana . Around 40 talented speakers stepped forward to acquaint the audience with various tourist destination out which 25 best declaimer were short listed for the final round. The students used their best skills to familiarize and took the gathering on fulfilled ride of famous tourist destinations like Shimla, Dubai, Egypt and so on. The participants took the stage with aplomb and their incredible performances were lauded by all. It was a hard task for the judges to declare the excellent out of the best. DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana sportstars bagged laurels at CBSE Cluster Level Basketball Tournament and Punjab School State Level Basketball Tournament. The U-19 Girls Basketball team comprising Pretty Sidhu, Kanishka Dhir, Bhavika Dhir, Jasleen Kaur, Parneet Kaur, Aditi Devgan, Sehaj and Ekampreet Kaur grabbed Gold medal at CBSE Cluster Level tournament held at City Public School, Jalandhar and make their way to the Nationals. The U-17 Boys team including Jaiditya Pathak, Vishnu Munjal, Nimish Garg, Saumya Dhingra, Mridul Modgil, Erose, Ekampreet Singh and Sanyam Gandhi stood Second Runners up.
Kanshika Dhir, Parneet Kaur and Jasleen Kaur played in Punjab School State Level Tournament held at Govt. Sr. Sec School, Patiala and qualified for Nationals as Ist Runners Up.
Mr. Rajesh Thakur, HOD Sports shared that the glittering achievements are a result sheer grit and determination. The teams are looking forward to show their prowess at the next level.
Pr.Dr. Satwant Kaur shared her elation stating that the school teachers and players left no stone unturned in reaping meritorious positions. DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana hosted the DAV National Sports Cluster Level Basketball, Taekwondo, Karate and Wushu Tournament-2019 on 16th October, 2019 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The DAV National Sports is a realm initiated by Hon’ble Dr.Punam Suri Ji, President DAVCMC, New Delhi to give latitude to sports and physical fitness amongst youth throughout India. The event was materialized under the able supervision and guidance of the host Principal Dr.Satwant Kaur Bhullar, the Cluster Head. Around 230 sportstars from 6 Clusters, Ludhiana, Jalandhar &J&K, Kapurthala,Nawanshahr,Phillaur Zone, became a part of this integral event. The event was inaugurated with a sacred Poojan ceremony by Dr Bhullar followed by her pearls of wisdom and words of encouragement to the budding sportsmen.
The strenuous efforts of the players were appreciated and rewarded with a grand prize distribution ceremony especially organized to formally declare the winners and the runners up. The best performers were awarded medals, trophies and certificates of achievement
Dr. Bhullar extended her appreciation to the technical experts and officials who contributed to the event by making wise decisions and drawing fair results. The event concluded with National Anthem.
