EEROSE SINGH- PRIDE OF DAV PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA

DAV Pakhowal Road   extended a  huge applause to Eerose Singh  of Class IX-A for bringing accolades to school by winning International Rank 249 and creating space in the category of Top 500 in the 5th International Humanity Olympiad . He was honored by Satyug Darshan Trust at Bhupani, Faridabad.  The Olympiad is conducted with the aim of ‘Making leaders of tomorrow better human beings today’. Eerose shared that he learnt the importance of being good human through self control.

She added that to participate in such competitions lead to free flow of ideas and help students get sensitized towards the issues that need attention. DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana celebrated Teacher’s Day

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan and acknowledge the efforts of dedicated and hardworking teachers Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar along with the school Student Council organised a spectacular get together for the teaching staff. The day kicked off with a tribute to the wise mentors Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan and Mahatama Hansraj ji. All the teachers were super excited for the upcoming celebrations. The session was thoroughly edifying and didactic.

The teachers had a gala time enjoying a spectacular show by the students who acknowledged the efforts of their teachers with an overwhelming tribute. The students entertained the teachers thoroughly with their self-composed poems, songs and heart touching speeches. DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA NSS VOLUNTEERS VISITED SHRI BALA JI PREM ASHARAM

The NSS Unit of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road visited the Shri Bala Ji Prem Asharam and Nikhil Vidhalaya ,Lalton Kalan, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana to meet special children. Around 80 NSS volunteers became the part of this noble drive. They distributed grocery and other household items of daily utility for the comfort of the children. The NSS volunteers received an overwhelming reception from the children. Mrs. Kulpreet Kaur (Cultural Head) and Mrs. Jasmeet Kaur (Committee Member) accompanied the students to learn one of the deepest lessons of life i.e. humanity. The students had a wonderful time interacting and playing games with the special children.

The Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar shared that the initiative has been taken to rise the youth above the invalid beliefs of society. It would be an effort towards the moral awaking of the students. She ensured that the school would be arranging for many such visits because it focuses on the real education of the students which is rich in valuable experiences. This would enable more volunteers to come forward and contribute for the social welfare.

BUDDY PROJECT EVENT HELD AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA

In the bid to combat the drug menace ‘Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign You &I  for drug free Punjab’ was organized at DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana on 3rd September, 2019. 60 buddies participated to put up a healthy effort through their inspiring performances to nip the evil of drug abuse in the bud. The function was presided over by Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar. She was delighted to see the young hearts leaving no stone unturned to sensitize their counterparts about deadly impact of drug demon. The students along with their teachers pledged to wipe out the hazard of drugs to secure a healthy future for the coming generations. Pr. Dr. Bhullar ensured to uphold the torch of positivity and work on grassroot level to generate healthy environment in and around the school.

To promote the noble thought students prepared different acts to make the occasion more meaningful. The musical melodies sung by the school choir enthralled the audience. The awesome play on substance abuse stole the show. The students presented their thoughtful opinions on the topic ‘ Drugs’. The foot tapping solo and group dance performances filled the audience with vigour and enthusiasm. All the acts were highly appreciated by the audience and guest alike.

Mrs Esha Sharma,Counsellor DAV Pakhowal,  in her address shared that Buddy project is one of the strategies to involve the youth effectively in the prevention of drug – abuse campaign. She stressed that everyone needs to make a joint effort to direct the youngsters out of this wrecking habit. She said that it’s our prime duty to be the savior of drug free society for better tomorrow.

Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar acknowledged and congratulated buddies for the successful event. She stated that teens are more vulnerable to the use of these intoxicants. She ensured that the school will remain proactive in countering the problem with positive peer pressure to help the affected individual to come out of this life threatening habit. Inter Class Indoor Games Competition at DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized an Inter Class Indoor Games Competition for class V. The students played chess, carrom board and ludo. There was a mass participation. This competition was held in the games period. All the students performed stupendously and enthusiastically. The thrill to play these games was at its full swing.

The Principal Dr Satwant Kaur Bhullar shared that the interclass indoor games have been initiated to ensure that each student gets an opportunity to display sports skills. She encouraged the students to play indoor games rather than playing games on mobile phones. The students also enjoyed learning team spirit amongst the peer group.

Mrs Tejinder Kaur, Academic Supervisor shared that such activities encourage students to play indoor games and helps in the overall development and growth of the children.

DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL PAKHOWAL ROAD , LUDHIANA NSS VOLUNTEERS VISITED NISHKAAM SEVA AASHRAM

The NSS Unit of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road visited the old age home, Nishkaam Seva Ashram at Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana. Around 45 NSS volunteers became the part of this nobel drive. Mr. Rajesh Sharma (Progamme Officer) and Mrs. Kulpreet Kaur (Cultural Head) along with the student volunteers  visited the Ashram to meet and greet the elders.  The school NSS unit donated grocery and eatables.They interacted with the residents of the old age home and understand the reality of today’s society. They also learnt to shoulder their responsibilities towards old people.

 The Principal Dr. Satwant  Kaur Bhullar shared that the initiative has been taken to rise the youth  above the invalid dogmas of society. They must learn to care for the elderly and consider them to be the most valuable asset of our society.She appreciated the NSS unit for creating such a wonderful opportunity for the students to come close to society and help generously.

LUDHIANA SAHODYA SCHOOL GROUP SONG COMPETITION HELD AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOLPAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA

DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road  Ludhiana hosted Sahodya School Group Song Competition on 30th August 2019 for classes VI and VII. Teams from 22 schools   participated to showcase their musical melodies on the theme of Patriotism. The Chief guest who graced the occasion was Principal Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu , DAV Public School, B.R.S Nagar. The judges for this event were Ms. Inderpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor in music instrumental in Government College for girls, Ludhiana. She also gained fame as a Radio Jockey at FM Gold, Ludhiana and Mr. Bhuvnesh Vashisht alias Sonu Khanna,  music director.

The vocalists from different schools left the audience awestruck with their command over voice modulation, notes, rhythm and other important aspects of singing. The success of the show could be well judged by the soulful smile on the faces of the students and the teachers. It was a tough contest and even the judgment procedure became extremely difficult for the judges.

She thanked the chief guests for acknowledging the young singers with their benign presence. She expressed her elation that the students showed keen interest in the music genre and gave their best. Launching Fit India Movement Telecast at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organized the telecast of ‘Launching FIT India Movement’ by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on its campus on 29-08-2019. The students from various classes along with their teachers listened to the precious discourse of Hon’ble P. M. with full enthusiasm.

The students were profoundly impressed and convinced with the fitness advice of respected PM. The stakeholders were thoroughly encouraged by Modi Ji to adopt sports as their daily regime.Through an influential dance video, he strongly stressed that today’s youth should spend less time on electronic gadgets and lay more emphasis on  yoga , martial arts and sports.The school students were thoroughly engrossed in the session. They found the interaction very fruitful and informative.The valuable guidance of Hon’ble PM was a huge enlightenment for the students.

Ms Jaideep Kaur, Academic Supervisor shared the school’s focus to cultivate healthy habits amongst students with physical fitness being the utmost priority.

RÊVES: A MYSTICAL TOUR TO FRANCE WAS CELEBRATED WITH GLITZ AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA

To motivate and generate interest of students in French language a spectacular show was organized at DAV Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana on 14th October, 2019. Around 100 Debonair and petite boys and girls rocked the show with their pep up performances. Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar along with distinguish guests of the day Mr. Tresor and Mr. Richard graced the coruscating occasion with her benign presence. The audience lauded arduous efforts put up by the zealous students in taking everyone on a fun filled tour of French culture and its festivities.

The event witnessed a series of well-organized and enthralling acts prepared by the dedicated cherubs. The young hearts surprised everyone by dancing to the French tunes. The presentation as Disney characters and Cinderella stole the show. The most riveting performance which drew an unceasing applause was the fashion show of cartoon characters. The audience was left spell bound by watching their kids’ remarkable and flawless French acts. The students acquainted the gathering with French festivities, language and highly acknowledged personalities through their confident feats.

She thanked everyone for their unconditional support in giving latitude to the event. In her address she emphasized that this event is a small effort to polish the talent and presentation skills in French language of the blooming buds. The event is an attempt to instill confidence in the little ones to overcome their stage fear and perform fearless. She also admired the efforts of the teachers who left no stone unturned in grooming the students. She ensured that such function will be held in future too. INTER- CLASS EXTEMPORE COMPETITION OF CLASS IV at DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana organized an Inter-class Extempore competition of class IV on August 28, 2019. Around 50 students participated enthusiastically in the competition displaying their remarkable hold over English and presence of mind. The aim of the competition was to let the students use the wings of their cognitive creativity through effective oratory skills. The students presented their thoughtful expression on important topics like ‘Value of Discipline’, ‘Harmful effects of Plastic’, ‘Importance of water’, ‘Health is wealth’ etc. The contestants showed keen interest and tremendous spirit to deliberate on their topics. The contestants gave a cut throat competition to each other. Falak Sharma of class IV-D bagged first position. Vanshika of class IV-D and Yug of class IV-F got second positon. Jaishnavi of class IV- B  won third position. The consolation was given to Aarav of class IV H.

 Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar conveyed her heartfelt appreciation and congratulations to the students. She also added that students must be encouraged and given the best opportunities to flourish. The competition evoked the sense of motivation for all the students to participate with full enthusiasm.
